Woodturning: The Cracken!!
Adamsen Woodcraft
0 Followed
This piece of Ash was one of two cookies I cut from a fallen tree here in Maine. It is the adjacent piece to the cookie used as a centerpiece for the cake at my wedding this past summer. My goal was to keep this piece as natural as possible, cracks and all. No epoxy, no gap filler, other than emergency use of Starbond CA glue (link below), which seemed necessary in order to prevent the piece from disintegrating. Somehow, this piece stayed whole, but it was quite the stressor. I hope you enjoy the final result. It is rather rustic compared to my prior turnings. If you are interested in purchasing this piece, please reach out to me through my website (link below).
