However, at some point, complexity and differences between different railway systems became so huge that they dictated a need for the establishment of different kinds of international organizations and the formal agreements between the Governments and the railway companies. The aim was to make the traffic on larger scale even possible, by harmonizing, or defining, unique operational rules and regulations, but also the manner of traffic organization and monitoring of overall development of the railway system. That’s why today we are talking about International Railway Organizations. We decided to divide this topic in two main parts, following the logic that there are two main kinds of these organizations. So, in this video, we discuss the Intergovernmental Organizations and, in one of the next ones, the Organizations Formed by the Railway Companies. We tried to explained the main role, scope of work and the list of tasks for the each of the following internaitonal organizations: 1. INTERGOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION FOR INTERNATIONAL CARRIAGE BY RAIL (OTIF) 2. ORGANIZATION FOR COOPERATION BETWEEN RAILWAYS (OSJD) 3. EUROPEAN UNION AGENCY FOR RAILWAYS (ERA) 4. UNITED NATIONS - INLAND TRANSPORT COMMITTEE (ITC) 5. INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT FORUM (ITF) In one of the next videos our intention is to cover UIC, CER, RNE, some regional railway associations such as ALAF, AAR, ARA, SARA etc. Credits: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12rudV96PmPd8QjZkfSA2vjjCbzrq_G9l/view?usp=sharing - If you enjoyed this video, SHARE it with your rail-loving friends to help us raise our community, and of course leave your opinion in the COMMENT section and hit the LIKE button. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ► Stay connected with us on social media: - Facebook: https://facebook.com/RailwaysExplaine... - Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/railways_ex... igshid=k0tv5loew79e&fbclid=IwAR0Ix2jPPbcUwhArt_iym9vzKgvrUQaLLH_4JkhILyzyY_upCyxTf5qxcwA - Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/railways-... #Railways #Diplomacy #Transport
