Why the Chinese Regime Persecutes Falun Gong

We'd like to address one of our audience's frequently asked questions.  Some have written to us, wondering why the Chinese Communist Party persecutes Falun Gong—a spiritual meditation practice. The Chinese regime has been persecuting Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, for 23 years—since the summer of 1999. Those who practice the system are abducted, imprisoned, detained in labor camps, tortured, and even suffer forced organ harvesting. Their deaths are largely known to supply China's booming organ transplant market. But why did Beijing launch the persecution campaign?
