Marcus Schotgues is the editor-in-chief of Epoch Times Brazil. He’s currently producing an investigative documentary series called "Brazil: A Last Stand in the Americas." The first report, "Red Tide: Latin America’s New Left Turn," highlights incoming Brazilian President Lula da Silva’s deep ties to far-left organizations. Along with Fidel Castro, Lula da Silva founded the São Paulo Forum in 1990. Schotgues says this brought together moderate leftists and many of the most radical and dangerous communist groups in South America under one banner.
