US May Be Experiencing Stagflation: Analyst

The U.S. economy is showing signs of slowing, with U.S. GDP growing at a below-estimated rate of 1.1 percent for the first quarter. But the good news is that consumer is still resilient as consumer spending accounts for a big portion of the GDP. This quarter's GDP was dragged down by a decrease in businesses not investing as much in inventory. Arguments can be made for stagflation, in which the economy is slowing but inflation remains elevated. NTD spoke to Jim Iuorio, managing director of TJM Institutional Services, for his analysis.
