There is certainly an immigration boost at the U.S. border as border states are struggling with surging illegal immigrants into the country due to immigration policies from the Biden administration. But at the same time, the United States seems to be on the brink of a recession. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell suggested that strong job growth paired with labor shortage is making such a recession more likely. So how does immigration come into play in the United States, in particular? NTD discussed with Dr. Samuel Gregg, a distinguished fellow in political economy and senior research faculty at the American Institute for Economic Research, for his take on the issue.
