Senior U.S. diplomats meeting their Chinese counterparts on Monday. The U.S. state department released a statement, saying the two sides talked about bilateral relations, Taiwan issues, and channels of communication. The other is Sarah Beran, National Security Council Senior Director for China and Taiwan Affairs. The meeting comes amid rising tensions between the two superpowers.
