The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini expressed intensified need for more humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas War while speaking to reporters at the UN on Monday. Lazzarini also pushed for more money to resolve the financial crisis confronting UNRWA after several donor nations pulled their funding over the group's hiring of Hamas members who participated in the October 7th massacre. He added, "I usually describe this humanitarian situation as a kind of, you know, crisis of all the possible, superlative.
