The all-new Caledonian Sleeper train from London to Scotland

London to Edinburgh by Caledonian Sleeper train, on the first departure to use the new Spanish-built Mk5 sleeper trains on 28 April 2019. Yes, these new sleeper trains even have some rooms with double beds! The Caledonian Sleeper is my favourite way to reach Scotland, and it just got better. Great to finally have the option of an en suite toilet & shower. Food, wine and whisky in the club car are as good as ever. This first ever trip hit the headlines for the wrong reasons, we were several hours late into Edinburgh - but as scheduled arrival was 5am I wasn't bothered!
