Rep to Mayorkas: Stop Prioritizing Processing over Border Protection

Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX) accused Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday of prioritizing processing of illegal immigrants over border protection during a House Budget Committee hearing. Cloud questioned Mayorkas over why President Biden says Congress needs to do more to secure the border while the current DHS has a 20% higher budget then the Trump administration had as the two men argued over how resources are currently being used in conjunction with US-Mexico border security.
