Rep. Gaetz Proclaims Trump is "Not an Insurrectionist' in New Resolution

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and co-sponsor Elise Stefanik (R-NY) say they will present a resolution on Tuesday proclaiming President Donald Trump is not an insurrectionist. Gaetz and several republicans made the announcement earlier on Tuesday in Washington as numerous states are seeing efforts to use the 14th Amendment's Insurrection Clause as a means to eliminate the former president from their 2024 ballots.
