PNG Signing of the Covenant 2007 connecting REPENTANCE DAY AUGUST 26, 2022

In was in 2007 August 26 Somare sign the Covenant making Treaty with the God of Israel. So today is ‘Covenant Day’ in P.N.G. What’s it all about? Well most Papua New Guineans like myself have no clue, Seems like it was even called ‘Repentance Day‘ at one stage in 2011. So for the most of us its just an extra day to sleep in really. No. When Somare signed the covenant in 2007 as Prime Minister , he said, I quote, "i michael thomas somare G.C.M.G M.P Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea do here by conquer with the terms and conditions of this covenant, now state as follows, 'Jeremiah 31:31-34
