Perth Rally to Boycott Beijing Winter Olympics held at Chinese Consulate

Perth Epoch News
A mini-rally calling to boycott the Beijing Winter Olympics was held outside the Chinese Consulate in East Perth on February 3rd, just one day ahead of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic games. This was the first rally of the Australia wide coalition of Uyghur, Hong Kong, Tibetan, Taiwanese and Chinese Human rights activists, followed by protests in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide on February 4th. The rally, which started at 1pm, was organised by the Perth Anti-CCP Association. A female official from the Chinese Consulate was seen talking with police during the rally. But she rushed back into the Chinese Consulate building after she was invited by the organiser to join the rally. The Chinese Communist Party is eager to polish its global image using the Olympic games, but has not been able to take the world’s attention away from its horrible violations of human rights.
