Origami Jeep 🚙 Jurassic Park 🦖 Pure Origami

JeremyShaferOrigami
How to make AWESOME origami Jeep using just PURE Origami! I designed this Jeep to resemble the one in the famous Jurassic Park Jeep scene shown in my intro with an origami twist. This tutorial is high-intermediate, NOT simple but probably simpler than some other complex origami cars on YouTube especially if you skip the optional "difficult" folds mentioned in the tutorial. I designed this model in response to a request from my student, Dexter, who during a Zoom tutoring session asked me to try to recreate the Jeep that I designed during my 2011 ten-hour Origami Marathon (see this video: https://youtu.be/tp3M2cNOJGo ). I wasn't successful mostly because my marathon Jeep wasn't a very well-designed model in the first place (because it was designed under time pressure). After the Zoom session with Dexter, I spent most of the rest of the day re-designing a Jeep from scratch. My initial goal was to make it from a 16 X 16 grid (instead of the 32 X 32 grid I had used for the marathon Jeep). After I successfully made a prototype, I gradually refined it, including simplifying the initial grid to 8X8 so that the wheels could be seamless, and figuring out the best folding sequence. I was very happy with how it came out, and I successfully taught it to Dexter in our next tutoring session. The idea to parody the Jeep scene from Jurassic Park was inspired by my recent origami endeavor with my student, Kairos to fold Jason Ku's Indominus Rex, which took us about ten 1-hour sessions to complete! To book me for an origami tutoring session, where I walk you through designing a model of your choice, here is the link: www.calendly.com/jeremyshafer The special members-only tutorial for this time is of an Origami Person model which I specially designed to be able to sit in the Jeep, like an action figure. For access to this tutorial and my 87 other members-only tutorials here's the link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2OQxWDDE71D6AKrNa7XygQ/join The other FREE person models that I mentioned in the video are the Simple Jumping Man: https://youtu.be/En-JTQrVfqY and the Jumping Soccer Man: https://youtu.be/G3t95JozFAc The other models I think would be fun to fold for this Jeep are the Jumping Rabbit https://youtu.be/9b5-UFbefko and the Among Us Crewmate: https://youtu.be/hpAgJSRtBek and really any other animal, like how about the Yapping Clapping Tapping T-Rex?!: https://youtu.be/K5bCOhtVx3w Joining as a member is the primary way to participate in and connect with my channel while at the same time supporting me to design and teach more cool models.
