New York City will become the first American city to adopt proof of COVID-19 vaccination for a variety of activities. Mayor Bill de Blasio said the rule will apply to indoor dining, gyms, and performances — and for both workers and customers. He said "The key to NYC pass will be a first in the nation approach. It will require vaccination for workers and customers in indoor dining, in indoor fitness facilities, indoor entertainment facilities. This is going to be a requirement." Patrons will not have to be fully vaccinated. They will be required to prove they have received at least one dose. The mandate goes into effect on august 16th. The largest U.S. organization of physicians and medical students is coming under fire for suggesting that birth certificates shouldn't specify sex. The American Medical Association, or AMA Board of Trustees adopted the proposal, claiming sex designation on the public portions of birth certificates involves the potential for discrimination. But not everyone is on board with the proposal. Feminist activist, Rachel Moran wrote on twitter: “Who gains if biological reality is erased from birth certificates, and who loses? This is the most serious assault on women’s dignity and autonomy I have ever seen in my life.” And a new study sheds light on how people adapted to their improvised workspaces: from where they worked from, to what some of the biggest challenges are. The study found only 32 percent said they worked out of a proper home office. 31 percent said they wroked from the bedroom, 23 percent worked out of the family/living room, and 9 percent out of the kitchen.
