The Israeli army uncovered a hidden Hamas tunnel under Gaza's Al Shifa Hospital, stating it served as a command center for Hamas fighters. The tunnel is complete with a bathroom, kitchen and an air conditioned meeting room. The shaft of the tunnel, roughly 6 and a half feet high,  was accessed through an outdoor shaft in the hospital complex grounds, which were once crowded with tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians the army said had served as a human shield from war. Following the discovery of a sophisticated Hamas tunnel beneath Gaza's Al Shifa Hospital, questions arise about external support for such constructions. Could China be involved in building Hamas's tunnels in Gaza? Rick Fisher, With over two decades of experience in Asian security matters, shares his insights on this complex international issue with NTD.
