Air travelers checking bags are being hit with a price increase from two major carriers. American Airlines and discount carrier JetBlue are the latest to raise their fees for checked bags. The Biden administration announced on Feb. 21 that it will forgive $1.2 billion in student-loan debt—clearing the arrears of more than 150,000 people who enrolled in a new repayment program. During the fraud trail against former President Donald Trump on Feb. 20, New York State Attorney General Letitia James said she's prepared to seize Trump's assets—including his skyscrapers and other New York property—if he's unable to find the cash to pay off the over $350-million fine.
