Air travelers checking bags are being hit with a price increase from two major carriers. American Airlines and discount carrier JetBlue are the latest to raise their fees for checked bags. The Biden administration announced on Feb. 21 that it will forgive $1.2 billion in student-loan debt—clearing the arrears of more than 150,000 people who enrolled in a new repayment program.
