Judge Tanya Chutkan announced on Friday that she will issue a protective order in former President Trump's 2020 election case. The judge said at a hearing that while Mr. Trump does have free speech rights, those rights are not absolute. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign has renewed calls for Secret Service protection for him after an Ecuadorian presidential candidate’s assassination on Aug. 9. Officials in Ecuador have announced the arrest of 6 Colombians in connection with the assassination of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio. The assassination underscored Ecuador's struggle against Colombian drug cartels.
