Israel and Hamas accused each other of violating ceasefire agreements on day one of the extended truce. After the fighting settled down, the hostage-prisoner exchange continued on as planned. A memorial service for former First Lady Rosalynn Carter was held in Atlanta, Georgia. Her husband, former President Jimmy Carter, and President Joe Biden were among those who attended the ceremony. Hunter Biden has agreed to testify publicly before the House Oversight Committee, but not to a closed-door meeting as the panel had requested. It comes as part of the House probe into his family business dealings. The "Americans for Prosperity" group is endorsing former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley for president. It's an influential political advocacy group backed by the Koch brothers. Disgraced former South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh was sentenced again for state financial crimes. He got another 27 years in prison, while currently serving two life sentences.
