U.S. House passed a bill to punish the Chinese Communist Party on March 27 for its forced live organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience. The bill, dubbed the Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act of 2023, aims to sanction anyone involved in the horrific act and requires annual government reporting on such activities taking place in each foreign country. An independent panel of experts found in 2019 that Falun Gong practitioners in China were most likely the principal source of organs for forced organ harvesting. NTD spoke to Levi Browde, the executive director of the Falun Dafa Information Center, for his take. Browde says the new House bill will certainly send shockwaves through China's organ trafficking industry.
