Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) is expected to speak on the House floor on Oct. 2 about its speaker, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), after Republicans called for a vote to oust Mr. McCarthy following the passage of a stopgap funding bill that drew more support from Democrats than Republicans.
