LIGATURES Adding more to the Handout for the Ligatures Workshop on Sunday 21st March, so I decided to show you some of the magic you will learn. I have built categories of types of joins so there is more structure to the learning and not just random shapes used to join letters. This made me consider that the differencing of letters when they are double letters must also fall under the purvey of Ligatures. The necessity to separate the minim, ascender and descender ligatures also presented itself. Including minuscule to majuscule ligatures, as well as some ligatured abbreviations seemed to be a natural progression in this standardising programme. I can’t wait to share this with you!
