Over in the Indo-Pacific, the U.S. sent its largest congressional delegation to Taiwan yet with lawmakers landing on Tuesday. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, led the group of nine. They met with Taiwanese leaders to discuss US-Taiwan relations, trade, and investment as well as regional security. U.S. lawmakers told Taipei they intended to help protect Taiwan's security through military trade.
