Jumping Mouse

JeremyShaferOrigami
[Rather Complex] How to fold a Jumping Mouse from a sheet of printer paper cut square. This origami mouse/rat jumps really well and it has fully articulated neck, mouth, arms and tail. When jumping the model make sure your finger does not land on the tail because otherwise it won't jump. The ears on the original model shown in the thumbnail are very big, and you might prefer it like that but in this tutorial I show you my newer version with ears that are smaller and more hollow and round instead of flat. I don't know which version looks better, but I'm wondering if adding smaller ears might make it look more like a rat. I recommend looking at a picture of an actual mouse (or cute rat) to help get the shaping more realistic-looking. I looked up " cute mouse pictures " on Google Images to help me design this model. It took me many many MANY tries before I was happy with the design. I've been working on this model for months! Designing origami models is really the art of perseverance! If you would like to give your new origami friend some origami food, I have a separate tutorial for the block of Cheese here: https://youtu.be/keM6kxXTG-U If you would like your jumping mouse to have some jumping friends I have a playlist of other cute animals that jump here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA1s-inNTVhxx1_KFSnoNPFoq6L33fWTO This is a good kind of mouse to have loose in your home. It's even better than the real thing! 😉 And you can use it as a lucky charm during this difficult time. Here are some ways to support me to make more awesome origami videos: 1.
