Judiciary Committee Subpoenas CDC, Other Feds

NTD News

Another round of subpoenas is coming out of the House Judiciary Committee. Now, the committee is aiming to question the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) over alleged censorship. Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) sent the subpoenas to the CDC, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Global Engagement Center. Jordan says these federal agencies and Big Tech companies have “weaponized” their power to censor conservative viewpoints online. He added that the agencies failed to adequately respond to previous voluntary requests in March. The subpoena letters don't list any specific allegations the committee is investigating, but raise the concern over censorship more broadly. The subpoenas request a broad range of documents and communications from the agencies by May 22.
