How to Wear Hanfu | Jiaoling Aoqun (交領襖裙) from the Ming Dynasty

Five Thousand Years
Jiaoling Aoqun (交領襖裙) or Crossed-Collar Aoqun is a typical Ming Dynasty women’s hanfu. This video will show you a step-by-step tutorial on how to wear Jiaoling Aoqun. I will also talk about each individual pieces as well as the history behind them. Jiaoling Aoqun was developed as early as The Warring States period (475 BC). And it evolved throughout the dynasties. By the mid to late Ming Dynasty, it had became the most commonly-seen design for fall-winter clothing among wealthy families and the royal court. I wore Ming Dynasty Aoqun to the Annual Macy's Flower Show to celebrate the Chinese Flower Festival. Hanfu, meaning Han Chinese Clothing, or as I'd like to call it Han Couture, is what ancient Chinese people wore for thousands of years. Traditional Chinese Clothes changed from dynasty to dynasty and there exists hundreds of variations. ------------------------------------------ Facebook: Five Thousand Years Instagram: Five_Thousand_Years 中文Youtube頻道:https://goo.gl/MPJijL ------------------------------------------ Cinematographer: Jimmy Xie https://www.jimmycxie.com
