Hamas Likely Using Cease-Fire to Divert Palestinian's Aid, Rearm for Next Chapter in War: Analyst

While the Israel–Hamas cease-fire has played a huge role in the release of Israeli and international hostages, it is also being used by both the Israel Defense Forces and the Hamas terrorist organization to consider their military tactics to date—and to prepare for the intense battles that are bound to ensue once the cease-fire ends. To learn more about the extended pause in hostilities in Gaza, NTD spoke to Gerard Filitti, senior counsel at The Lawfare Project. He says that Hamas is likely using the pause to rearm through its tunnel system and via the border crossing to Egypt, while the terror group has likely amassed a substantial stockpile of weapons that will allow it to continue fighting. Mr. Filitti also maintains that Hamas is likely diverting food and medical aid away from struggling Gaza residents to prioritize feeding and treating its terrorist fighters.
