GOP Senators Call on Schumer, Dems to Hear Mayorkas Trial After House Approves Impeachment

Republican Senators on Tuesday called on Democrat colleagues and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) to hear an impeachment trial against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas after the House votes to pass it to the upper chamber. While the Democrat Senate majority may have enough votes to squash a trial, the Republicans at the press conference in Washington, House Republicans are expected to vote on the charges and pass Articles of Impeachment next week.
