Flying Chicken Paper Airplane

[Intermediate] In this video I show how to fold a Flying Chicken Paper Airplane from a single sheet of printer paper using just pure origami - no cutting or gluing. I also show how to adjust it so that it flies the best. Designing this model was inspired by my Zoom student Byron who is currently into folding complex paper airplanes. I think I was aiming for a dragon paper airplane, but ended up with this chicken. I especially like this model because it achieves the 4-claw feet using a multi-layer pleating sequence followed by sliding the flaps out. I also like it because I haven't seen pure paper airplanes of animals that can really fly. So folding animals that fly can become a whole new branch of origami design!
This chicken paper airplane flies pretty well considering it has a chicken on its nose! As I demonstrated after the tutorial, it also can flap its wings when you move the legs forward and back.
If you would like a better looking chicken, you are welcome to color it to your heart's content! I've been using plain white printer paper in a lot of my recent videos because I'm guessing that is what most people on YouTube have on hand and I want to make my videos accessible to as many people as possible.
The real answer to my question, "Can chickens fly" is YES! Here's a video of chickens flying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRpgnMDr7Ms
I imagine a lot of chickens don't fly because they are overfed or under exercised, or perhaps only certain breeds can fly.
