EU Unveils $340 Billion Plan in Response to China's Belt and Road Initiative

The European Union unveiled the 300 billion euro plan on Wednesday. The program will mobilize nearly $340 billion in public and private funds by 2027. The plan, called Global Gateway, will focus on physical infrastructure like fiber optic cables,  transport corridors, and power transmission lines to strengthen digital, transport, and energy networks.
