Border patrol ready in San Diego for Caravan

It’s quiet on the San Diego side of the U.S. - Mexico border. But border patrol is ready for all scenarios as thousands of migrants move toward Tijuana. Tekae Michael, Border Patrol public affairs officer for the San Diego Sector: “There are individuals on the south side, sort of forming, which isn’t normal.” The first several hundred members of the migrant caravan reached Tijuana, Mexico on November 13. More stream in daily. An estimated 5,000 in total are making their way north toward the U.S.” Tekae Michael, Border Patrol public affairs officer for the San Diego Sector: “We’re basically making sure we’re prepared for anything that does happen.” On November 13, several people scaled the fence into the U.S before running back to the Mexico side. The fence is about 8 miles from the port of entry. We're protecting our border.”
