Putin Hikes Pensions Amid 'Difficult Year'

Increasingly cut off due to western sanctions, the Russian economy plunges into recession amid double-digit inflation. President Vladimir Putin has raised pensions and the minimum wage whilst acknowledging a difficult year ahead. But he denied the country’s economic problems were all linked to the conflict in Ukraine.
