Expert: Benefits Without Work Hurts Families

Enhanced child benefit payments have been entering American accounts since the end of last week.  But not everyone agrees it's a good idea, even for the families themselves, not to mention the country's growing debt burden. Poverty and family expert Robert Rector has written over 300 reports, articles, and commentaries on public policy and has testified before Congress more than 40 times. He's now a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
