SWIFT Sets Central Bank Digital Currency Plan

SWIFT, a money-transfer system that banks use to transfer money worldwide, cut off Russian banks from its network earlier this year. And right now, it's setting out its plan for a Central Bank Digital Currency network. Ninety percent of the world's central banks are looking into creating their own digital currencies, and with SWIFT, they may only need one global connection, as opposed to the thousands we have today.
