A New Year's eve bonfire whirled out of control on Tuesday (January 1) causing multiple fires to break out in Dutch sea side resort of Scheveningen and a 'firenado' to sweep across the beach front.
Emergency services were present at the scene and the boulevard had been cleared, Scheveningen police said on Twitter.
The bonfire, which is made out of wooden pallets, is held annually as a competition with the neighbouring Duindorp province in South Holland.
