Man Shot by Police After Knife Attack and Car Explosion on Bourke Street, Melbourne

Victoria Police said on November 9 that they were treating a stabbing incident earlier that day as a terrorist incident. Victoria Police said they responded to reports of the vehicle on fire at about 4.30 pm. They were confronted by a man wielding a knife and discovered that civilians had been stabbed. The knife-wielding man was shot in the chest by police and was taken to hospital where he died.
