DJI RS2 - Why it lives in my camera bag! Wassup everybody! It has been awhile since I created on this platform, during 2020 I had to recalibrate and figure out the trajectory of my filmmaking career and this film is the start of one of the creative directions I've decided to pursue. Alongside my travel films, I am going to create content which will help you in making important decisions when selecting gear (cos it aint cheap!) and share some tips and tricks which helps speed up my workflow on shoots and in post. I've had the RS2 for 2 months now, I've legit enjoyed my time using it. Since the Ronin M came out I've been an avid DJI user for all my stabilisation systems so I've been anticipating the release of a new gimbal for awhile now. Rather than just do a talking head segment telling you what I thought of the RS2, I figured why not show it in real world use on a run and gun shoot with minimal planning in uneven terrain? So Jordi and I got together and shot that entire Short and Haka film in roughly 2 hours on the beach, with the exception of the bedroom shot! I forgot to mention in the video that the shoot was one of the first time I used to gimbal so I was impressed with the functionality, ergonomics and of course the performance ;) Anyways!
