China’s Wheat Growers Face ‘Disaster’ Amid Heavy Rain

Food prices like bread and pasta could be on the rise. A disaster hitting farms in China's Henan province dubbed as the country's "granary." That means the world's biggest wheat consumer may see more grain imports that will push up global wheat prices. Two weeks of continuous rain in the region have soaked wheat fields and roughly 20 percent of China's bumper crop is expected to feel the impacts.
