Rainbow Appears Ahead of Storm Alberto in Panama City Beach
Subtropical Storm Alberto brought high winds, rain, and the risk of flooding to the Caribbean and South Florida. But as it approached, it also offered a gift of natural beauty.
On the morning of May 28, with the storm still about 50 miles away, this rainbow was visible to people in Panama City, Florida.
Coming behind the rainbow was the threat of high storm surge and possible flooding according to the National Hurricane Center. The NHC also warned about possible tornadoes and waterspouts.
But the rainbow was pretty.
