Orange County Man and Two Children Gone Missing While Rafting

A simulated volcanic eruption and fireworks lit up the Jakarta sky on Aug. 18 for the Asian games. Indonesia rolled out the red carpet for the elite athletes during the opening ceremony. The North and South Korean athletes marched together under a common flag of the peninsula around a huge model of a volcano, and 3,600 performers danced in various costumes. The enthusiastic crowd and the millions watching around the continent enjoyed the scene on TV. Some 13,000 athletes from 45 national Olympic committees will compete in the Asian Games. 40 sports and 67 disciplines with new events from bridge to roller skating are scheduled.
