Attorney Says Shen Yun Is a Manifestation of the Divine

Through dance and music, Shen Yun Performing Arts brought the audience in Zurich, Switzerland, on a tour through 5,000 years of Chinese civilization. Dr. Josef Bollag is a president of the Jewish Religious Community, Baden-Baden, and owner of a commercial law firm. He enjoyed the performance at Theater 11 Zürich on April 14 and was captivated by both the dance and music presented by the company. "I liked it so, so much. It's beautiful, and it's very special in every respect," said Dr. Josef Bollag. "It's also about our coming into contact with the culture here and that we learn that, with 5,000 years of Chinese culture, in particular—that's not something you can just wipe out! That's really significant—that's a basis for an entire people and for an important part of the world. I liked the choreography, it was absolutely beautiful, and I also liked the clothes and the music, it was fantastic." "For us here, of course, we cannot only concentrate on Western culture—we have to see what people have done in other areas too, and what cultures they have," he said. "And if we study this carefully, we can actually see that at our roots, we are not so far removed from each other and that much wisdom, many philosophies of life are still similar and can complement each other. And we can still learn something about life." He also said Shen Yun’s divine message allowed the audience to connect with their inner selves. "I am Jewish, and it's always said that Jewish people are very shrewd, but the Chinese are even smarter people. There is something, therefore, that connects us: namely, that we have a deeper knowledge and we recognize that there is divine guidance in this world, and we believe in that, and those Chinese people who maintain their culture in this day and age believe in it too! And that is something that unites us. So I could feel it particularly deeply that the divine always intervenes in daily life. I believe in it, and I observe it too." "The last story was very impressive, of course. I think that we experience miracles every day. We don't always notice it. We don't always see it and, sometimes, we don't want to see it. But in reality, it happens, and the last story showed that! You have to believe in it, you have to open your heart and your eyes, and then you can see it," he added. NTD News, Zurich
