UK: 16k Covid Cases Missed In Data Error

A technical glitch means nearly 16-thousand cases of COVID-19 were officially unreported and untraced in the UK. England’s public health body says the cases have been added to Saturday’s and Sunday’s figures. That means these two days’ reports include nearly 13-thousand and 23-thousand new cases respectively. Those who tested positive received results in time. But those in close contact with them were not informed to self-isolate. Johnson’s spokesperson says the government has started an investigation into why the IT issue was not spotted sooner.
