A special election - to recall the governor of California, the deepest blue state in the United States - is underway. Voters who support the recall, claim that they want to take back California. Gavin Newsom has been referring to the recall as "white supremacy.” His campaign website claims that the movement is being driven by a “coalition of national Republicans, anti-vaxxers, QAnon conspiracy theorists, and anti-immigrant Trump supporters.” But there are clearly deeper reasons for Newsom's loss of popularity. California has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. Newsom's restrictions which have crippled countless businesses and not to mention the growing drugs, crime, and radical leftist ideals which have turned the once-desirable state of California into an inhospitable place for people to live.
