Blinken, China’s Wang Yi Hold Talks

Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on July 9, 2022 for the first time since October 2021. According to Blinken, they discussed a range of issues from tariffs, trade, and human rights to disputes over the South China Sea and Taiwan—issues which have all been complicated by the Chinese position on Ukraine.
