Peru recovers over 1700 pieces of stolen artefacts
Authorities in Peru have recovered over 1700 artefacts which had been stolen from the country, including pre-Hispanic relics from various lost civilisations in the Andean nation.
The more than 1700 retrieved artefacts are the result of international investigations with Peru's consulates around the world as well as with local authorities in different countries. Artefacts were repatriated from nations such as Australia, the United Kingdom and Holland.
In the last eight years, Peru has recovered more than 7,000 pieces of stolen relics.
