Bach Preludio from 3rd Partita | Nicolas Baldeyrou

Nicolas BALDEYROU
If you love vintage instruments, here is a very special clarinet : the prototype of the Buffet Festival from 1985 ! The feeling is not far from an old R13, with maybe a brighter sound in the high register ? Anyway, I love its homogeneity and density in the left hand, still fresh for a 34 years old baby ! Let’s practice Bach’s Preludio of the 3rd Partita for solo violin, one of my youth terrors when practiced as a « study » (terrible name for such a masterpiece in our clarinet books...) and try to keep a fluid tempo, the quality of the single tongue and a violin phrasing during these long and exhausting 3 minutes ! The full video is available on my Facebook page and my YouTube channel 👍🏻✨
