Slain police officer called 'American hero' at his funeral

On the somber morning of Jan. 5, a memorial service was held for the Newman officer, Ronil Singh , at the Crosspoint Community Church in Modesto, California. Just the day before, flags were waving in the city of Newman. Hundreds of people were waiting outside the West Side theatre in downtown Newman, to say their final goodbyes to Singh before his casket left the town.
