Trump Praises Defense Witness in Civil Trial; Says Charges Come 'Right from the White House'

Former President Donald Trump praised a defense witness' testimony at his civil trial in New York on Thursday, continuing to maintain he is not guilty of charges set against him which he says are "right out of the White House" in an attempt to interfere with the 2024 presidential election. He says there was "no accounting fraud" as the New York Attorney General is trying to prove. Trump is the font-runner for the Republican Party presidential nomination, positioning him as the main political rival to sitting president Joe Biden.
