California Officer Helps Stranded Woman in Wheelchair get Home A woman stranded on a Lancaster, California, road due to her electric wheelchair being out of power was aided home on October 2 by a local police officer. Lancaster police received a call reporting a wheelchair causing a traffic hazard, and when they arrived they were surprised to see an elderly woman sitting in the chair. Lancaster Deputy Montanez decided to push the woman to her home around a mile away because the wheelchair was too heavy to be put in the police cruiser and couldn’t be left by the roadside.
