Columnist Carrie Sheffield grew up in squalor with an abusive father but was able to escape her circumstances and was not only able to achieve success but learned to forgive her abuser. Dr. Ming Wang escaped to the United States from the cruelty of the Communist regime in China with barely any money and has become the leading expert in eye surgery and now has a movie about his life.
